When quality and corrosion resistance matters

Galvanizing services for all types of fasteners

Hot dip galvanising involves coating steel with a protective layer of zinc to prevent rust. In cases where an additional decorative finish is needed, electro galvanising, a thinner and more refined zinc coating, is typically used instead.

When fasteners are used in highly corrosive environments, stainless steel is usually the better, though more costly, option. This is because hot dip galvanising may not offer sufficient long-term protection in those conditions.

Because galvanised coatings are relatively thick, any nuts or clearance holes may need to be tapped larger to properly fit galvanised bolts.

For fasteners smaller than M8, hot dip galvanising can fill in too much of the thread, weakening the grip. In these cases, electro galvanising is often a better choice due to its thinner and more precise finish.

What industries do we work with?

Construction & Infrastructure

  • Structural steel frameworks
  • Bridges, tunnels, rail systems
  • Coastal and marine construction
  • Utility poles and guardrails

Constant exposure to moisture, weather, and urban pollution makes corrosion resistance critical for safety and longevity.

Marine & Offshore

  • Shipbuilding and dock hardware
  • Oil rigs and offshore wind farms
  • Coastal facilities

Salt water and humid conditions accelerate corrosion, so strong protection is essential.

Agriculture & Farming

  • Fencing and gates
  • Greenhouse structures
  • Machinery and support equipment

Fertilizers, chemicals, and exposure to the elements create a high-corrosion environment.

Transport & Automotive

  • Trailers, chassis components
  • Railcars and truck bodies
  • Highway infrastructure

Galvanised coatings protect against road salt, grime, and environmental wear.

Utilities & Energy

  • Transmission towers and substation structures
  • Solar panel mounting systems
  • Wind turbine components

Long service life and low maintenance are key in remote or high-risk locations.

Manufacturing & Industrial Equipment

  • Conveyor systems
  • Structural supports
  • Storage racks and platforms

Corrosive materials, industrial chemicals, and heavy use demand durable finishes.
