Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers utilise tension instead of friction in order to secure bolted joints exposed to severe vibration and dynamic loads suitable for the most demanding industries.

Nord-Lock locking washer promises the highest corrosion resistance on the market. The washers have been tested with at least 1,000 hours in the Neutral Salt Spray Test*, ensuring optimum performance over time, even in the most extreme environments and dynamic loads.
WHAT MAKES NORD-LOCK WASHERS WORK SO WELL?
The Nord-Lock solution is composed of a pair of wedge-locking washers. Each washer has cams on one side and serrations on the other. When tightened, the serrations embed into the mating surfaces. As the cam angle (α) is greater than the thread pitch (β), a wedge effect is created, so movement only occurs across the cams, maintaining preload and preventing loosening.
