Martyn Price's Gary Macauley Receives Outstanding Industry Achievement Award at Torque-Expo 2026
We are thrilled to announce that owner & MD, Gary Macauley, has been honoured with the Outstanding Industry Achievement Award at the Torque-Expo 2026 Awards, held on 12 May 2026 as part of the Torque-Expo Networking Evening.
The award, presented by Torque Magazine founder Jerry Ramsdale, recognises individuals who have made a lasting contribution to the fastener industry — and we could not be prouder that Gary's decades of dedication have been celebrated in this way.
What the Judges Said
In announcing the award, the Torque-Expo judges highlighted Gary's remarkable journey in the trade, from his roots in Bury to building a career spanning over 40 years in the fastener industry in the Midlands. Having been with Martyn Price for over 25 years, Gary has been instrumental in delivering stability and growth for the business, including overseeing the relocation of the company and completing a management buyout just before the Covid pandemic.
Since then, Martyn Price has gone from strength to strength. In 2024, the business diversified into manufacturing and continues to pride itself on being a good local employer. Gary is a well-known and respected figure in industry circles, a regular at UK and international trade shows, and a long-standing contributor and member of the BIAFD (British & Irish Association of Fastener Distributors).
A Proud Moment for the Whole Team
Torque-Expo 2026 was a fantastic event all round. We had a brilliant time on the stand meeting customers, suppliers and friends old and new. The award topped off what was already a great day of networking and catching up with the wider fastener community.
